Associations
Cliff has a number of charity and business interests, and you can read about just a few of them in this section.
The Sir Cliff Richard Charitable Trust
The Sir Cliff Richard Charitable Trust is the channel through which Cliff directs all his personal charitable support. This means that the Trust does not make public appeals or organise fund-raising events - although it is very appreciative of the support given by so many of Cliff's fans over the years.
Grants are made by the Trust every quarter, with about 50 different registered charities benefiting each time. Priority is given to charities working in medical research, with children and the elderly, and those involved with the physically and/or mentally disabled. While these form the main focus, obviously other charities, which Cliff would also like to encourage, do receive help from time to time.

The Tennis Foundation
Cliff is a keen tennis player and in 1991 he established his own charity – The Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation. The aim of the charity was to encourage more youngsters to play tennis and, during its life, it took tennis into thousands of primary schools around the country. In Spring 2007, The Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation moved from Cliff’s management offices in Surrey to the National Tennis Centre in south-west London, and now comes under the umbrella of The Lawn Tennis Association. Later that year, the LTA announced the launch of The Tennis Foundation – its mission to make tennis available to all age groups across all local authority tennis facilities. In December 2007, Cliff’s appointment as Vice-President of The Tennis Foundation was announced.

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
As a friend of the late Roy Castle, Cliff was delighted to identify with
the Lung Cancer Foundation as one of its patrons. Since Roy's death, the
Foundation has raised millions of pounds for research into the disease,
and Cliff was honoured to open the Lung Cancer Research Centre in
Liverpool, the first of its kind in the world. For more details of its
work, you can click on the logo on the right.
