Please note that the use of some web "toolbars" that allow additional facilities such as searching or 'emoticons' in email have been found in some instances to compromise the expected functionality that this site provides. We do not recommend the use of these products.
Real Media (RM)
The sound and video clips are available as Real Media files. Although these are of lower quality than other formats, they can be 'streamed' directly into your web browser without waiting for a file download. To play Real Media Clips you need to have the Real Player. This can be downloaded free from the Real Networks website by clicking here.
Quicktime (MOV)
For those who do not have or prefer not to use Real Media, some clips are also available as Quicktime files. These have to downloaded for off line viewing, but offer higher quality video images. To play MOV files you must have the Apple Quicktime Player which can be downloaded free from the Apple site by clicking here.
Windows Media (AVI)
Some video clips are also provided in AVI format. These are the largest files and will take longer to download, but can be played on the standard Microsoft Windows Media Player. To get the latest version of the player, click here to visit the Microsoft site. The Windows Media Player also supports MP3 sound files.
Macromedia Flash Player
Some areas of this site include Macromedia Flash content. Most browsers are automatically installed with a version of the Flash Player. If your browser does not have at least Macromedia Flash Player 7 installed, you will not see the Flash content. If this is the case, please click here and obtain an update.
